Al-Azhar is responsible for spreading the values of tolerance, dialogue and acceptance of others as well as maintaining contact with major religious organisations in Europe to promote dialogue between the East and West.
Our endeavours of dialogue with the Vatican led to the creation of the Human Fraternity Document.
The President of the Austrian National Council praised the Grand Imam's major role in combating extremism as well as promoting coexistence and acceptance of others. He also hoped that Austria would benefit from Al-Azhar's training programs for imams.
