Muslim Council of Elders Extends Congratulations to the Muslim World on the Occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday
The Muslim Council of Elders, chaired by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, extends its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Arab and Muslim worlds on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday.
The Muslim Council of Elders affirms that the commemoration of the Prophet’s Birthday is a significant occasion to reflect on the noble values embodied by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ throughout his exemplary life, including mercy, justice, tolerance, noble character, respect for human dignity, coexistence with others, and the establishment of a society founded on love, compassion, and solidarity, in accordance with the words of Allah Almighty: “And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds.” (Qur’an 21:107)
On this blessed occasion, the Council calls for drawing inspiration from the guidance and example of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in addressing the challenges, wars, and conflicts facing our world today, as well as the growing spread of hate speech and intolerance. It urges the promotion of the values of mercy, coexistence, and human fraternity, and the strengthening of dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect, thereby contributing to the development of more cohesive and peaceful societies and enhancing security and stability among peoples.
The Muslim Council of Elders emphasizes that following the example of the Prophet ﷺ is achieved through adherence to his values and ethics and by translating them into meaningful action in the lives of individuals and communities. This includes reviving the values of mercy, compassion, and solidarity, building bridges of understanding and fraternity among all people, and working toward a world guided by love and peace, where human dignity is respected and safeguarded.
On this blessed occasion, the Muslim Council of Elders extends its sincere wishes for continued goodness, peace, and prosperity to the Arab and Muslim worlds and to all humanity.
