President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Bahrain extends congratulations to the Muslim Council of Elders on its 10th anniversary


President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Bahrain: The Muslim Council of Elders has succeeded in spreading the message of Islam, calling for tolerance, respect for others, and the promotion of human coexistence.



His Excellency Sheikh Abdurrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, congratulated the Muslim Council of Elders, led by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, on its 10th anniversary.


His Excellency Sheikh Al Khalifa stated that over the past 10 years, the Muslim Council of Elders has made great efforts to unify the Islamic nation on the basis of amity, peace, and harmony. It has also spread the message of Islam, which calls for tolerance, respect for other religions, and human coexistence worldwide.


He expressed his wishes for the Muslim Council of Elders to continue progressing and developing in ways that serve Islam, Muslims, and the world as a whole. He also hoped that the Council would continue its blessed efforts in promoting noble humanitarian values and enhancing cooperation between different religious sects and denominations to build a more peaceful and prosperous future.


The Muslim Council of Elders is an independent international body established in Abu Dhabi on the 21st of Ramadan 1435 AH (July 19, 2014). It is led by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. The Council includes several scholars and dignitaries known for their wisdom, moderation, justice, and independence. It aims to promote peace in Muslim and non-Muslim societies and to spread values of dialogue, tolerance, and human coexistence.
