Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in Jeddah extends congratulations to the Muslim Council of Elders on its 10th anniversary


His Excellency Professor Dr. Qutb Mustapha Sano: The Muslim Council of Elders serves as a platform to promote tolerance, moderation, and constructive dialogue in support of humanity


His Excellency Professor Dr. Qutb Mustapha Sano, a member of the Muslim Council of Elders, Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of International Cooperation, former Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Republic of Guinea, and Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in Jeddah, extended his congratulations to the Muslim Council of Elders, chaired by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, on the tenth anniversary of its founding.


Prof. Dr. Sano highlighted that over the past decade, the Muslim Council of Elders has become a beacon for promoting tolerance, moderation, and constructive dialogue in support of humanity. He expressed his appreciation for the Council's efforts and achievements in promoting peace and harmony worldwide.


He also praised the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for its efforts in fostering a culture of peace, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among nations, making it a model of tolerance, openness, development, progress, stability, security, and peace.


The Muslim Council of Elders is an independent international body established in Abu Dhabi on the 21st of Ramadan 1435 AH (July 19, 2014). It is led by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. The Council includes several scholars and dignitaries known for their wisdom, moderation, justice, and independence. It aims to promote peace in Muslim and non-Muslim societies and to spread values of dialogue, tolerance, and human coexistence.
