The Deputy of Al-Azhar extends warm congratulations to the Muslim Council of Elders on its tenth anniversary.

His Eminence Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman Al-Duweiny, the Deputy of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, offered heartfelt congratulations and blessings to Al-Azhar Grand Imam Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, and Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, the Secretary-General of the Council, marking a decade since the Council's establishment in the United Arab Emirates.


He noted that over the past ten years, the Muslim Council of Elders has tirelessly worked to foster unity and solidarity among Muslims and to address the concerns of the Islamic nation. Its pivotal role in bridging the gap between the East and the West through dialogue and human fraternity has been commendable. The Council has sent convoys all over the world to spread peace and combat divisiveness and extremism. It has consistently promoted coexistence among people of different languages and colors, amidst the unique challenges faced by Muslims in today's world. He lauded the substantial support and care provided by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, for the Council's endeavors at various levels.


The Deputy of Al-Azhar also praised Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam's tireless efforts and contributions in fostering communication and cooperation to enhance human fraternity and to solidify the values of peace and tolerance, as well as his efforts to unite the Islamic nation.

He expressed his best wishes for a bright future for the Muslim Council of Elders, praying to God Almighty to guide the Council in achieving its noble objectives of dispelling division, spreading peace, fostering understanding and cooperation among nations, and making its work beneficial for Muslims and the world at large.
